SKYVIEW FUEL COMPUTER

Hi Guys,

I recently had to do some maintenance on cabling on my aircraft and found the solution to a problem I had been having with the fuel flow element of skyview, i.e. flow showing for a while and then just stopping with nothing showing.  It came down to a poor connection from one of the red cubes.

Unfortunately this wiring fault has tied the computer up into knots as it's showing that I have 192 liters in the tank against a possible full value of 68 liters so does anyone have a clue how to zero the fuel computer so I can start from scratch?

best regards

SYSTEM SETUP > AIRCRAFT INFORMATION > TOTAL FUEL CAPACITY sets the highest value the fuel computer will take.

Even without doing that, you should be able to go to ENGINE > FUEL and spin down the computer's erroneous value to match the actual.

I did that, but the situation remained the same. I'm wondering if the faulty wiring on one cube resulted in just one number being recorded from the other one (914 with 2 red cubes).

Best regards and thanks

Not sure I'm following. Are you saying you can't decrease the amount of fuel the fuel computer things it has on board at all?

That's right, it thinks it has 192 litres. I "matched" the values and it re-set to read the same but later showed 192 litres remaining.

The fuel gauge reads absolutely spot on, so that is calibrated correctly.

Does the fuel remaining value "count up" on the EMS page (if you don't have that INFO widget displayed, add it to the page).
