Consider a skyview system for my experimental. Can anyone advise if theres a way for the gps to show river/lake names? Thanks

Currently, lakes and rivers aren't named on the map.

If you are in an area where there are third party charts available, then yes. In Australia we have VTC/VNC/WAC charts blended and displayed. That does it nicely.
Oh, good point. In the US, you can overlay the "paper" sectionals with a $99/year Seattle Avionics subscription for SkyView.
