Hi guys, hoping tech spt could please help with a couple of things. We have the hdx , EMS just installed into an RV7A.
(Light speed and mag ignition and capacitive fuel sensors.)

1. Rpm is displaying approx double its value on the skyview

2. On the first engine run the EMS was working fine.. On the second run, it stopped with the red X displayed and no LED illuminated on the EMS box. Changing network lines achieved nothing and using the dynon factory looms.

3. We have Princeton capacitive fuel sensor probes with what I think is a vans adapter plate and some interface module. It used to have the Grand Rapids EIS installed.... do we need the dynon capacitance voltage convertor unit to make these communicate?

1) Adjust pulses / rev. Page 7-47 of install manual.

2) If it doesn't work with another harness, then the only other thing to try is unplugging the D37 and D25 sensor harnesses. If that fixes it, you have a short to ground or power somewhere. If not, then the EMS module needs repair here.

3) The Princeton converters work with SkyView. Just hook the wires that went to your GRT EIS to the fuel level inputs on the EMS and choose "capacitive" as the sender type.

Thanks guys!

My tech replied with " I have performed the tests for the ems as per dynon. I also checked continuity of the network cable and its ok. I have confirmed the ground connections pins 2&3on the network cable connected to the display and that 8.09 volts dc pins 7& 9is available to the ems box. Unfortunately it is pointing to a box failure"

I'll contact the sale rep.

Cheers
