SkyView: in Panning Mode + turning track knob

I think you mean "heading line." I too have noticed that it does not show when panning on the screen. Probably a reason or limitation for not showing it. You should still see the heading bug, though.

Well, my SV 1000T system has a heading line, controlled by a heading knob. The autopilot can be set to follow said line in heading mode or in track mode.

Otherwise, I have no idea what the OP is talking about. The post is a bit terse.

Sorry. What I mean is the following behaviour. If you are NOT in panning mode and you turn the heading knob then a cyan line shows up and gives you the new course/heading/track. If the AP is engaged and in TRK mode that's of couse the new track. If you then want to fine tune the new track for a far destination you normally go into panning mode and zoom in the remote location. But when you now turn the haeding/track knob nothing happens. No cyan line is shown.
