I am trying to install the SV14.2.1 software I have downloaded from Van's Aircraft website to my RV12… All seems well, however I am getting this message on the Skyview. (Picture attached) I m unable to complete any of the configuration. Any ideas?

Dan, I 'm going out on a limb here because I don't have an RV-12 or even its wiring diagram but that never stops anyone here from offering their "solution" :)

Could the two autopilot servos have been powered off when you performed the software update?  In the RV-12 they receive power from the same fuse that powers the boost pump, don't they?  I believe many RV-12 owners pull that fuse when working on the airplane to quiet the racket of the pump running all the time.

I would just press the update button on lower right side of EFIS  ;) (make sure the servos are powered up first & use the latest software update for the whole system)

There is a reverse issue here - the software on the EFIS is about 4 years old, and the servos are a bit newer. The easiest thing to do is update the screen to version 14 and bring everything up to date.

Thanks, we thought there may be a issue with the software. Thanks Joe also, I believe you are correct about the fuel pump fuse.

On the RV-12, the aux (electric) fuel pump shares the circuit powering the two avionics shelf fans. You can pull out the aux pump/fans fuse to quiet things down during SV update work. Pulling this fuse has nothing to do with the SV. Make sure that your AP Servos are powered up during the SV updating process.

As DS said (I didn't explain it well) the SV screen software has to be at least the same level as the servo or a higher level, then do a system configuration ( with everything Dynon powered up). Then it will work as advertised  ;)

Normally other added Dynon products have an earlier version than the SV screen - in your case it is the reverse so the extra step is required before the servos can work at all.
