I realize the D1 is designed as a stand alone, easy to use backup intrument, but...
To be a true standby flight instrument it reallt needs the ability to display actual altitude and airspeed. Any chance of a quick connection to the skyview to receive airspeed and altitude data from the ADHRS?
Hope springs eternal...

The D1 is really sold as a backup for use in certified airplanes, so a connection to SkyView is not something that has been considered. We see a lot more D6 installs in experimentals, which does have a fully redundant standard airspeed and altitude display.

How is it a backup to SkyView if it relies on SkyView's airspeed and altitude? At the time you need it, it would be using GPS since SkyView was failed, so I don't see the obvious advantage here.
