Skyview Network Wires

I'm beginning to hook everything up behind the panel and need to shorten the ADAHRS network wires prior to connecting to my ARINC. Can I cut these wires to the proper length or do they need to stay in the lengths I got them? Thanks guys I'm a neophyte with wiring.

Network wires can be cut to length. The only wires in the Skyview system which cannot be altered without consequences are the CHT/EGT. Those are special and Dynon Support can give better guidance but they will tell you the network wires can be any length.

There are actually no wires in any of Dynon's systems that can't be cut shorter if needed. Even CHT's and EGT's can be cut and extended. The idea EGT's and CHT's can't be changed is a vestige from old analog CHT and EGT gauges that relied on a specific wire length. Modern equipment doesn't do that.

Some wires cannot be extended, like the battery on a SkyView display. These instances are called out in the install manual.
