Does it matter which order one routes the network through the splitters. My routing is as follows:

ADAHRS to spltter 1
Pitch servo to spliter 1
Splitter 1 to splitter 2
Roll servo into splitter 2
SV-1000 to splitter 2

Both splitters and all DB9 connections are mounted ona panel behind the baggage bulkhead (RV9A).

Nope - as long as they're electrically shorted together, they'll work. You can get a little deeper into your networking thinking and consider what happens if you cut a full wire at point "X" and minimize the amount of things the fall off the network if that should happen. The extremely conservative case is to do all your splitting very near the unit, and then the runs of cables that go out to each device (post-splitter) all only affect one device. Without having a way to check in on every builder - it seems like many people don't go to that extreme though, and use splitters throughout the aircraft as it makes sense to minimize cables.

Or, you could use one of these:

This was designed specifically for use in SkyView networks to replace a tree of splitters and centralize the wiring.
