Skyview not shutting down gracefully

Hi all,

For the last 4 years, Skyview will give me the 30 second warning message once I turn off the master.  Yesterday, out of the blue, I get a message that the Ships Power has been lost when turning off the master. I then have to manually power each screen down.

The only change I have made was to update the nav data.

Anyone else have this experience?  Any ideas on things to check?

Thanks,

Dennis

This was reported once before, that I know of. In that case, the system sensed that the aircraft was still in motion, which tells the system to not shutdown.

If it repeats, check the airspeed and ground speed readouts.

You know, I did notice that airspeed had a value of 20+/- knots upon shutdown. Calm winds, no movement. I thought it odd but was focused on the shutdown issue. I'll go off and search the forums on how I look at this aspect of the onion.

Thanks.

Yep, that'll do it. You're going to want to do a zero pressure / airspeed calibration to get rid of the residual low airspeed indication. Full instructions are in the installation manual.
