Yes I have both screens connected to SV battery back ups However neither seems to hold the charge. I have had them connected for some time while building my aircraft so I assume they have not had much opportunity to charge. Any feed back welcome.
Jake FWIW I tested my SV's on a good battery on the bench prior to install. When I started to have trouble I removed both units and bench tested them. The 7 in initially would not boot up but after two or three attemps it came to life and has not failed again. The 10inch would not come boot at all after many attemps. I left this for a day or so and tried it again on the test bench still no go so Dynon sent me another screen. I will be back in the hanger tomorrow after my rewiring last weekend and if I have any issues I reckon I will get a slab of beer shut the doors and go walk about.

Do all of you guys have batteries attached to the affected displays?

No the one with the battery works each and everytime. The other does seem to have an issue unless there is a alternator powering up the battery (aka will not work pre engine start bat 12.3v) but will after engine start 14.2v.
Yes, I am sure it is 12.3v my vertical power tells me exactly how much amps and volts are being used.
thx

Hugh - one thing to note is that the backup batteries only actually charge (you can see their charge state under SETUP > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > DISPLAY HARDWARE INFORMATION ) when the bus voltage is above 12.25V. This ensures that when actually installed in an aircraft, it won't sap power from your aircraft battery when the engine's not running (the alternator kicks the bus voltage up to 14ish in a "12V" airplane)

FYI - Hugh's 'issue' looks like it was to do with the alternator, NOT a Dynon screen problem, maybe he'll post the outcome here  :)
