Whenever I switch on the Skyview System the Flight Director is on and I have to deselect it manually on the Autopilot menue. Is this normal or is there a setting where I can have it deselected during startup ?

Hi,

The Flight Director should not be displayed unless it has been turned on via the 'FD' button either in the menu or control panel, or when the Autopilot has been engaged.

Does the top bar display any AP mode information on boot, when the FD comes on?

A photo or a screenshot would be very helpful.

Thanks!

I will see if I can get some more details tomorrow, otherwise it takes a few days for it. Anyhow will report back.
Usually I switch on my left display with the backup battery and I believe I see the flight director on when the engine is started and the avionics (ship´s) power is taking over and also starts the second display.

Do you have two SkyView displays in your panel and connected an External LEVEL Mode Button to both displays?

If so, we revised our guidance for that in the most recent manual. Reference the SkyView System Installation Guide Rev Q, Pages 10-13 and 10-14.

Dynon Support,
THIS WAS THE ANSWER. Two displays and two level buttons (one per control stick) wired together. I will install two diodes according option two in the installation guide and this should solve the issue.

Hello!

Since I updated to 10, I have to manually reboot by pressing 1+2+5 every time. It won´t start up alone when I toggle primary aircraft power as before. It just hang on a white screen. No Dynon icon or computer text.

Other than this it works excellent.

Any ideas?

Hi Gilberto. Do you have a backup battery connected to this display? And if so, does disconnecting it change this behavior?

I have same issue with one of my two D1000 screens, and yes it does have a fully charged backup battery. Doesn't do it every time, but more than 50% of time.

Yes I have a backup battery, but access to my back panel is kind of difficult. I will try to do that and I will let you know. Thanks.

Hello. I disconnected the backup battery and yes: it starts up alone with primary aircraft power as before. I reconnected the backup battery and the problem remained.

Any suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

We've had a few reports of boot-up issues after the v10 upgrade. We're looking into it and should have a fix shortly in the next release.

For now, we suggest that you just reboot the system with the master switch or the 1-2-5 reboot. This issue is not indicative that anything is wrong with the system or that it is less reliable once it is operating.
