First off - probably user error.

I have a Dual Skyview HDX setup, with a Trig 56A Nav/Com and an Avidyne IFD440 GPS/Nav/Com.

First off - the Trig radio works great and is controlled through the Dynon. The IFD440 GPS works great and I get Horizontal as well as Glidepath indications on the Dynon for RNAV approaches.

My problems start when I want to do an ILS approach.
If I select the IFD it will show a Glideslope, but no horizontal (localiser) info on the Dynon screen.
If I select the Trig it will show horizontal (localiser), but no glideslope info on the Dynon screen.

I know that there is a setting I have incorrect; Dose anybody with an IFD have any help?

YES I've read the Dynon 3rd party setup guide, but it doesn't seem to help, since neither the IFD 400 or the Trig 56A are specifically mentionsd.

My in depth knowledge of SkyView ~ IFD connectivity has faded just a bit since I built my system and harnesses, but I rechecked my IFD 540 harness build notes - and the Avidyne install manual says the harness pins are the same for the 440. Suggest you check that the following pin pairs between the Avidyne P1006 connector and the SkyView SV-ARINC 429 are successfully talking to each other:

- Avidyne P1006 pin 23 VOR/ILS Arinc-429 Out B to SV pin 10 (Avidyne Output)
- Avidyne P1006 pin 24 VOR/ILS Arinc-429 Out A to SV pin 22 (Avidyne Output)
- Avidyne P1006 pin 35 VOR/ILS Arinc-429 In B to SV pin 12 (Avidyne Input)
- Avidyne P1006 pin 36 VOR/ILS Arinc-429 In A to SV pin 24 (Avidyne Input)

The above assumes you used the #2 ARINC channel of your SV-ARINC 429 box for the VHF NAV radios and used the #1 ARINC channel for your GPS navigation.

In addition, the manuals show a line between pin 3 of the SV-ARINC 249 box for RS 232 IN and your choice of any available GPS RS 232 OUT pin on the Avidyne 540/440.

Clear as mud, right? I claim zero specialized knowledge re avionics; I just painfully check, recheck, and triple check all the relevant pin pairs in the install manuals and check everything yet again before power up. Everything worked correctly the first time and NO SMOKE!!! 😜
