I recall a few posts that indicated there would be a software update "before the end of the year".
Obviously that deadline slipped. Any guestimate as to when, and perhaps what bug fixes or feature enhancements might be in the cue?

I don't understand the clamour for updates, I really don't.
What I currently have works just fine...If it ain't broke why try and fix it! :)

When Skyview was introduced, updates were a huge deal with many needed improvements. Now, just a little fine tuning. Although that elliptical HSI may not have been so fine ;D Am looking forward to being able to receive lightning strike info bun not sure if it is Dynon or the FAA we are waiting on.

+2 And the capabilities currently available are so much MORE than I will ever need.

If they want to add additional "features" then that is OK as long as they don't cause an issue with any current feature. But additional features are just more "icing" on the cake.

There ARE some bugs that need to be fixed...it's not all about new features. The ARINC dropouts, for one...

The biggest fear I have with Dynon equipment is obsolescence.

Agree. Whilst nice to have new features, the priority should be fixing any bugs in existing versions and updating the documentation- still waiting that months after release!

There is a minor software that just dropped, mostly to support the Bonanza certification. There will be another more experimental-focused software update, likely in the coming couple of weeks.

I hope the next update includes a fix for the ARINC dropouts, please. Yesterday, on the final leg of a flight, the map display was dropping out several individual items (ETE, DTW, etc.) while keeping others (ETA, etc.), and then they'd come back. Then go away. Then come back.

This is distinct from previously, when it appeared *all* ARINC data was lost.

Since the autopilot mode (NAV) requires ARINC data from the certified navigator, and will switch modes if it loses it, this is more than a bit disconcerting.
