Some questions about the autopilot

Hei,

if I understand right, waypoint navigation is not yet included into the autopilot functions?
Once it is included, will there be some kind of "loop" or "repeat" function?
I am thinking about our volunteer rescue work again. In Finland, hobby pilots often assist in missing person searches as well as forest fire monitoring. It would be VERY convenient to set a bunch of waypoints and have the autopilot follow them indefinitely until disengaged, so both pilot and passenger can engage in the search.

Right now, you can navigate to a waypoint using the Direct To function. However, non-US customers need the Jeppesen database coming in March.

Multi-leg flight plans will come on a release after that.

The Jeppesen database will be on the list for sure. Too many restricted areas and too frequent changes in frequencies, etc. in Europe to fly without current data :).
How about user-defined waypoints? Will it be possible to use those in the multi-leg navigation?

Found it. Will they be useable in multi-leg navigation?

Besides - HUGE compliments for your quick answers on a SUNDAY.
I think, it should be emphasized that this is NOT COMMON and EXCEPTIONAL good service!!!

When I order the plane somewhen end of this year, I will tell the builder for sure that I want Dynon! Just need my features :).

Dynon,

Will the current autopilot follow a flight plan from a Garmin X96 if that is selected as the source? If it will track lateral nav, will it track vertical or is that only going to be for a certified GPS in conjunction with your ARINC 429 adapter?

S-23... The User Waypoints should be usable on multi-leg flight planning when it is released.

Skysailor... The current autopilot will follow a Garmin X96 using the SkyView NAV mode. Currently it is lateral navigation only. Details on the future enhanced autopilot with vertical navigation are not finalized.
