Hi,

I just receive and install my D10-A in my MCR01. Beautiful object indeed !!!
Because the weather is bad I only flew 10 mn, but I have a question !
I choose to not install the internal battery (wiring with Aeroelectric principles and having 2 hours of electrical autonomy) and only connect + and ground.
I note on the bench that the D10-A starts as soon as the contact is ON. When starting the engine the drop in voltage stoped the EFIS (one second approx) and then it boot again.

I think that it is not a good thing and shut down the EFIS before starting engine in the future.

Is there a parameter I don't know, witch allow to start the EFIS only when pressing its power button ?

Thanks for answer ...

Michel,
There is no way to prevent the EFIS from turning on when it recieves power. The EFIS is designed with a very strong power supply that is fine with being on while the engine cranks. It will turn off if the voltage drops below 10V, but this will not harm the unit in any way. Most of our customers wire the EFIS to be on when the engine is cranking and this causes no problems.

If you really do not want the EFIS on while the engine is starting, you'll need to wire up an external switch to the EFIS.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer.
If YOU say that there is no problem, it is ok for me !!!

And I vill not add any switch : increasing the switches number = increasing the failures probability !!!

I flew 2 hours last Sunday with the D10-A. Pure marvel .....

Cheers,
Michel
