Hello, I am new here and considering if to install a Skyview.

Perhaps someone can answer a couple of questions about available functions.

Can you set an alert for fuel imbalance i.e. when the difference between left and right fuel quantity exceeds a set value?

Is there a simple stopwatch timer? I would like to have a stopwatch timer controlled by an external (hotas) button which would cycle run-stop-reset. Can it do this?

Do you want to show fuel that is not immediately available to the engine?
The Cessna 401 I flew had six tanks. Mains (tip), aux and lockers. You could draw from mains or auxs and they had gauges. You had to pump from the lockers to the mains and the locker tanks had no gauges, just a light indicator to show the transfer was complete.
Cessna's answer to your question was to not show fuel that was not directly available to the engine.

Just to bump this one, maybe a Dynon person could reply?

Is it possible that Dynon might include a stopwatch in a future software upgrade? It would avoid having to install a separate chronometer. A digital minutes : seconds counter on the top bar or somewhere on the navigation display would be good. It could be controlled from a button on a GP input to cycle run-stop-reset.

OK, no need to answer this question, I got an e mail reply from Mike at Dynon, thanks. I'll probably run one of the GP wires to a hotas button to allow for the possibility of this in future.

Did you get an answer about a simple "Start-Stop-Reset" timer button? Seems like a simple addition.

"There aren't any specific plans for one at the moment, but, it is on the list of features that have been requested by customers. Sorry I can't give you more of a definitive answer at the moment. In general, though, features that don't leverage SkyView's unique capabilities (in other words, a wristwatch, stopwatch, ipad app, etc could all conceivably step in here) tend to not get as high priority as software features that SkyView can uniquely perform (such as Map, weather, autopilot)."
