Strange EGT Readings

New install Rotax 912 using D180 and the EGT readings seem wrong.
When the system is turned on it displays -99 on both probes. I happen to have an oven and process calibrator so I did a little testing and had the following results. All readings are in Degs F.

150 -99 -99 149.6
200 -68 -68 198.0
250 -15 -17 247.7
300 52 27 298.7
350 101 75 350.0
400 140 111 398.7
450 197 156 449.0
Probes read correct when connected to the Fluke process calibrator and wrong when connected to the D180.
Any suggestions?

Brad, we solved one with the exact same issue a few months ago.  I will do some research when I am back at work Monday and get you a solution.  I don't remember the solution off the top of my head.

Ok Brad, What happens if you short out the two leads from one of the thermocouples. (it should show ambient temp) If you disconnect the 25 pin EGT/CHT connector does it still read -99? If it fails either test above, the unit will need to come back for us to check it out and repair it. Give us a call 425-402-0433
