Yeah, me again. I just upgraded from an SL40 to an SL30. When I go to System Setup Menu/Primary Com it shows either None or SL40. I am unable to change that to SL30 no matter what I do. What am I doing wrong?

You must go into your serial port setup and tell it you have an SL30 connected to that port, not an SL40. The radio menu "learns" what is connected to the plane via the setup in the serial ports.

The Serial port setting is also what will expose the VOR/LOC choice on the HSI.

Thanks, that seems to make good sense.

[/img]]I am still having problem making the SL30 and the Skyview communicate.  It seems wrong that the Com selection is grayed out in this attempt, am I correct?

That selection is if you are using the optional Dynon radio.

As skydiver says that menu is only for configuring our radio (mic gain, volume, etc).

With an SL-30 your only choice is in the Local display setup->TOP BAR where you choose if the status is shown.
