I have the 7" Skyview and everything has been working properly. This morning on runup I noticed no RPM indication. The icon is there but not reading RPM. Checked the database status on the input and it was going up and down in count with the RPM. That tells me that all the electrical from the engine compartment is OK. I have a Jabiru 2200 with the RPM pickup from one side of the alternator. Pulled the cowl, checked the fuse, checked the wiring with an ohmeter all seemed normal. Thought it may be the software.
Downloaded 3.3.2, no change. Recycled the icons on all three pages and same indication. An :(y one have any ideas? I am out of them.

When you say the database status is OK, can you describe which menu you were in in detail, and what exact reading you were seeing, and what it was doing?

Which RPM pins are you connected to?

This doesn't smell like a software thing, for what it's worth.

I was looking at database status for the RPM. When throttling up and down the data count would go up and down as well. One thing I didn't check, and I will do it today, is to see if the pulse numbers have changed. We had this happen once before when the tach quit the pulse count went to zero. We set it to six and it came alive.

Just checked the pulse count and guess what-it was set 90006.00. Apparently that was a human glitch when I checked the pulses previously. I am sure that this was the problem and apparently my error. As soon as the damn rain stops I will do another runup to check. I want to thank the crew for their help. I guess we learn through our mistakes. Cheers, Larry

If you mean the pulses/rev setting was that high - that would indeed cause your RPM to only show 1 rpm every 90,006 pulses, and that would take a while ;)

Let us know if that wasn't the culprit.
