SV 700 Font Size readability

Had the pleasure of flying in a plane with 10" SV the other day and was surprised at how much clearer and  readable the MAP page was compared to my 7" screens.

The right screen at 50% MAP and EMS is more easily readable than my 7" at 100% MAP.

Can DYNON do something to improve the readability of the MAP page on the 7" screens? Bigger fonts, contrasting colors, etc...  :'(

They already have in a past release. There was mention that the 4.0 would have some improvement as well "With the addition of all this new data, SkyView now de-clutters objects and names to create a highly readable and detailed navigation map"

Anxiously awaiting v4.0 to see what improvement that may provide. In speaking with DYNON today I note that the 7" screen readability issue wasn't something that was intentionally addressed in the new release. Hopefully, as an unintended consequence, it may improve.

Any other 7" screen owners find the MAP page unreadable on the co-pilot side as of v3.3.2 ? If v4.0 doesn't adequately improve the issue DYNON wants to hear about it.

I have both a SV-1000 on the pilot side and a SV700 on the co-pilot side. I can't honestly say that I spend much time looking at the SV-700 but my wife sure does and she has had no issue at all with it (I just asked her), truthfully, I agree there is a huge difference between the screens enough that I run a 40/40/20 versus a 50/50 for the wife (no EMS on her side) but from the left I can see everything clearly when asked where the HDG is, trk etc as we're flying.

The next release, while the fonts aren't bigger, definitely improves the organization / clutter / legibility of the 7" display. That software is a couple of weeks out still.

Patience  v4.0 will be available "real soon now". However, setting expectations, there's no change in fonts.

v4.0 has improved the organization of the MAP page on the SV700, BUT the font size still needs to be enlarged. Perhaps variable font size based on distance covered by the MAP. (i.e. if I want to see more clearly I dial into the 12 mile range.)

Or a setting in the "setup page" to customize it for the user?

It's better BUT still too small for these old eyes.
