I am building a composite pusher airplane and due to the rather large size of the ADAHRS and/or MAG-236 box size it is it difficult to find a suitable location. In the nose I have a landing light and an electric trim motor. In the tail I have an engine with electronic ignition.
T the most convenient location for my SV-ADAHRS-200 is under the back seat and installed onto the ground plane of the transponder (or ADS-B) antenna.
Would the transponder antenna cause magnetic interference?
The kids will be seated back there with their various digital gear (iPads, etc) and chargers however I do not know much magnetic interference iPads and chargers will cause 2 feet away from the unit.
If you had a remote mag sensor that had a smaller box (or an alternate vendor) then I could mount it in the wing strake.
Any suggestions?
