SV AP Control Panel Interface With Skyview

Sorry, this is probably covered but I can't find it. I'm looking at installing an Autopilot Panel on a SV system. If I select Heading, Track, ALT etc on the AP panel, does this automatically select the same on Joystick #1 when in Map mode or must this be still be done manually?

It still needs to be set manually.

It would be a nice feature to have. Do you know if this was attempted and can't be done? I imagine having the Knob panel with the A/P panel would be a work around.
