I understand the battery is charged through the skyview and charges anytime the skyview is on.  Unfortunately some of us are unable to operate our skyview for long winter months.  We can put float chargers on the main aircraft batteries, but the dynon batteries go flat.   PLEASE! we need a keep alive line or at least an external float charger.  Did I say PLEASE??? :-[

The SkyView battery should last at least 2 years before going flat, so it really shouldn't be going dead in just a few months. If it is, something is not working as designed.

At the same time, you could just unplug the SkyView battery from the harness if you know you're not going to fly for a few months.

I also have a D6 that goes flat. Don't the batteries self discharge? The D6 does not want to take a charge with the power on, the SV-bat-320 does. what can I do with the d6 battery. Also the D6 ball does not center when the case is level. Does that need to come back to the factory to adjust?

On the battery - How long does it take the battery to discharge? And are you sure it's charged in the first place? You should see an "I" voltage of 16V or greater when it's full.

On the ball: If it's not level when the case is level (check with a bubble level, to start, to make sure the whole install isn't canted a bit), it would indeed need to come back here.
