Engine has been run, plane has flown several hours, pc680 battery is new and fully charged and alt is putting out good power.

SV-BAT is showing 7.8 to 8.7 volts max even after charging battery with skyview and master on for hours. I have left a trickle charger on for hours and hours with the master on...and cannot get the backup sv-bat to get up to normal charge. connections are good, no idea what else to check..open to ideas.

What issue would keep sv-bat from accepting juice??

You must have more than 12.25V at the SkyView in order for it to charge the battery. A trickle charger won't do that. You do mention that the plane has been flown so that should have done it.

At the same time, the battery has a protection circuit inside that cuts off the voltage at 9.0V and it should read zero below that. The fact that you are seeing 7V or 8V is worrysome.

I would suggest that you measure the voltage of the battery with a standard voltmeter, and then contact us and let us know what you find. We may need to replace the battery or fix the screen.

I borrowed another builders backup battery and it immdediatly fixed the issue. The sv-bat is not accpeting a charge at all, so I will figure out the return/replacement process and get it back to you.

As for charging, I did ensure the charger put out the required voltage and power to dynon was on. So...did all that as requested, but got a doa battery I guess. Thanks.
