Having an issue with T-25 (currently unresolved) and was looking at possibly replacing it. What is the difference between the T-25 and the 760? One website mentioned the T-25 was out of production. True or false?

Thanks, Tom S

I just bought a 760 to add a 2nd comm to my rv9 which has a X25 as comm 1. The pin out between the two the same according to diagrams. Main difference is the 760 is 12v only. Other physical difference is the 760 uses “ears” to mount while the x25 uses a separate mounting tray. Weight of the 760 is about half. I’m not sure if the x25 is discontinued but I do think that the x25 replaced the T25.

The T25 is TSO'd. The 760 is not. They're pin compatible, but the 760 uses a BNC antenna connector, rather than the TNC connector on the T25. As @Tsabean noted, they mount differently. The T25 slides into a mounting tray, while the 760 just bolts to something.

True. But Aircraft Spruce still has them, as do others. Aircraft Parts Supply has them listed at $299, which is far lower than the usual $1552.

Aircraft Parts Supply has been flagged as a scam site.
