Hello,

I installed a flip flop switch on my stick but when connected, the flip flop knob on the radio don't work any more.
Is it a wiring error or a radio issue ?

In advance thank you
Sylvain

Probably wiring. One hunch - is the switch actually grounding out continuously instead of being momentary ground when depressed?

The SV com panel instructions says :

Optional - For Grounding Pin 7 (Flip/Flop Switch). Switch may also be grounded locally.

Do you think I have to connect it to the PIN 3 ?

The switch should be connected to pin 7 and ground. But the switch should be normally open, such that it is not grounded. When you push the button momentarily it should be grounded.

Pin 7 is the pin that, when grounded, will actuate a flip/flip. It should be normally open by going through a pushbutton switch that is normally open. The other side of that switch should be grounded. That ground can be any local ground, or, for your convenience, you can also connect the ground side of that switch to pin 3 (which is ground). Then, when you push the flip/flop switch, you'll momentarily connect complete circuit to ground (whether ground is pin 3 or some other local ground).

I have a Ray Allen G207 standard stick grip with two momentary contact pushbutton switches mounted on top that can be used for controlling functions on avionics, GPS, autopilot, speed brake, etc.
There are two wires from the switch I choose to connect the Flip Flop function, One I connected to the PIN 7 and one I connected directly to the Ground. But this done, I loose the flip Flop knob from the radio and the Flip Flop on the Stick is erratic.
Do you think is still my wiring connection is wrong ?

Hello,

I found the problem : the little switches on the stick have 3 contacts. One of the two wires was solded on the wrong contact and I think it was on "normally close" configuration.
It's work now.
Thank you for your help.
