Hello, I have started having a small issue with my dynon comm. I have 2 comms, 1 dynon comm and 1 from the GNS 480. I installed them both, along with an audio panel about 2 months ago. Only recently has the issue arisen. I was noticing what I thought was static or noise while on the Dynon Comm, I flip over to the GNS480 Comm and hear no noise. The Dynon Comm is fine transmitting and receiving. But while tuned into the the Dynon Comm on the audio panel I keep hearing issues.. I noticed that the RX keeps "flicking" from the Dynon Comm (seeing it displayed in the on skyview), which seems to be the noise I am hearing. Constant "flickering" of the RX. When someone makes a call it is fine and clear. What could be causing the RX flickering....? This has occurred on multiple occasions now, so I have ruled out someone else's radio causing this..

thanks
ryan

This sounds like the issue I had (search the forum on my name). It was "cured" by wiggling the wires that go to the connectors on the Dynon comm. So far, it hasn't come back.

It sounds like some RF noise is above the Dynon COM's receiving threshold. Have you tried adjusting the radio squelch under SYSTEM SETUP > COM RADIO SETUP > SQUELCH LEVEL?

Thanks, I have not tried adjusting the squelch. Next time I will and I'll check the wires out too.
