I have a Skyview 10" display, along with the new Dynon radio and intercom. Everything works fine, I hear alerts from the Skyview and other audio components connected. The only thing that doesn't work is the MUSIC IN jack on the intercom. I have an MP3 player playing music and connected directly to my headset, but I want to hook it into the intercom, so my passenger hears the same music. Just no sound at all when inserting into the intercom. There shouldn't be any wiring involved for that to work, right? Any ideas?

Correct - to use the Music In Jack, no wiring is required. From the SV-INTERCOM-2S manual:
Front Music In Jack
The SV-INTERCOM-2S has wiring provisions for a permanent stereo music source via its rearmounted wiring connector.
A music device can also be plugged in to the standard 3.5mm Music In jack on the front of the intercom. When a device is plugged in to the Music In jack, it over-rides the permanent music input.

Perhaps the other priority audio inputs are causing the music input to be muted? From the SV-INTERCOM-2S manual:
Selectable Auto Mute (music only)
Press the squelch knob to toggle whether or not music is muted by intercom conversation as well as by non-muting input and radio activity. This allows you to set the music and aux muting input to not mute as you sing along or occasionally chat over the intercom:
[ch61623] When Auto Mute is DISABLED: Only audio activity from radios and non-muting inputs will mute music.
[ch61623] When Auto Mute is ENABLED: Audio from radios, non-muting inputs, AND intercom conversation will mute music.

Thanks. Yeah, now I see that when I turn OFF the Skyview display, the MUSIC IN jack works fine, so something about that signal is muting the music.

SkyView only emits audio for alerts, so if you're not hearing alerts, something is amiss. There's a selectable muting behavior for the music input that you can toggle by clicking the squelch knob. But even when this is enabled, you'd have to have audio coming from either a radio, non-muting input (like SkyView), or the intercom to trigger it:

Selectable Auto Mute (music only)
Press the squelch knob to toggle whether or not music is muted by intercom conversation as well as by non-muting input and radio activity. This allows you to set the music and aux muting input to not mute as you sing along or occasionally chat over the intercom:
