SV-Intercom Wiring Guide

Ok I'm confused as to the drawing specifically the highlighted area in the attached photo from the SV-Intercom-2S Installation guide page 2-3.  To me this looks like a shielded two conductor wire with one of the internal wires connecting to the shielded bundle! Or is it a shielded one conductor wire that is just showing the shield connecting to the other cables shield?

Michael, you are correct with your first thought - the audio 'gurus' ie Ps-Engineering do it this way too

As Jake said (he's practically the "evening staff" on the Forum) it is a 2-conductor + shield wire, with one wire terminated to the shield just before the connector.
