SV V 10 Software and Sensor Definition Files

There is a little information here and there about upgrading to Skyview Version 10 software and needing to update the sensor definition file to do so.  For those of us that installed their system a while back we will have to recapture the lost knowledge of why we built our own sensor definition files in the first place so that we can properly migrate the needed changes to the new file.  For me, I think it was using Kavlico sensors before Dyon started supporting them but I really can not remember.

Anyway, can you provide a bit more information as to why this is necessary?  I ask because I see comments like "needed to enable pin xyz".  If I am not using xyz, I'd just as soon leave what is working alone.

Please do not take this as negative feedback.  V10 is fantastic and I am happy to do what is required to update my system.  Actually, I'd prefer to simply add touch but you are not doing that just yet   I would just like to understand the why if possible before I go through comparing sensor def files line by line to make sure I migrate my changes over.

The quickest way for me to answer what's different from your custom + older sensor file and the current one is to look at it here. If you don't mind, could you do a settings export and send your sensors.sfg file to support@dynonavionics.com attn: Paul?
