SV Ver 15 Pitot/Static test not seeing stby ADAHRS

Dynon,

I will be needing my IFR cert on my Pitot/Static this month so I thought I would try the new feature for this.

"New: Pitot/Static test mode that elmiminates the need for display restarts during transponder checks. Available via SETUP MENU > HARDWARE CALIBRATION > ADAHRS CALIBRATION > PITOT / STATIC TEST MODE"

When I enter this mode it only shows the Primary ADAHRS and shows the STBY ADHRS data as "X"ed out.  Is there a reason for this?  Should both ADAHRS be displayed so simultaneous readings can be taken?

Relevant equipment: single SV 10" Touch w/ dual ADAHRS

They should both show. If you go to SETUP MENU > PFD SETUP > ADAHRS SOURCE SELECTION, do both ADAHRS show as online? If not, you might have a connectivity issue. What does your SkyView Network configuration show? If they both show as online, what does the COMPARE button on the ADAHRS SOURCE SELECTION yield?

I know the network detects both ADAHRS. I don't remember the "COMPARE" option when I went to the ADAHRS selection page. Only the primary one as "ONLINE SELECTED" and the second displayed but "OFFLINE", I think. When I get back home ill check it out in more detail.

OK I got it working but think I found a bug? If I have the ADAHRS-200 selected as the Primary and the ADAHRS-201 selected as the Standby the Pitot Static Test Mode will not see the standby ADAHRS-201.

So I selected the ADAHRS-201 as the Primary and it will now display both ADAHRS data.

Does it matter which ADAHRS is primary vs. standby for the failure / mismatch detection to work?

If you're seeing OFFLINE, that likely means that ADAHRS isn't working (unpowered, broken, or perhaps at some point a SkyView Network Configuration was performed without the second one connected?). Check the network status page next. Also, if you can see it, there's a light on the physical ADAHRS that will tell you what's going on. Is it on, off, flashing slow or fast?

I checked the Network Configuration and it all looks good. I repeated the selection again for the Primary ADAHRS and got the same results. With the -200 as primary it will not see the -201 in the Pitot Static Test Mode. With the -201 as Primary the Pitot Static Test Mode see's both ADAHRS.

When I perform the Pitot Static Calibration later this week I will have access to the ADAHRS and see what the lights are doing. But other than the Pitot Static Test Mode all other screens appear to be normal.

Looks like there might be a bug there - we'll need to investigate / reproduce here. Without knowing more at this moment, your best bet will be to do the test while your 201 is primary so that the software "sees" both.

If you go into the normal source selection screen in PFD SETUP, does changing the active ADAHRS similarly do the same thing when you use the "COMPARE" mode?

I will get the diag file to you later today. In the normal COMPARE mode it works fine regardless of which ADAHRS is primary. Only the Pitot / Static Test Mode is affected.

Diag file has been uploaded.

I had the Pitot Static and Transponder checks performed this evening with the -201 set as primary to get around Pitot Static Test Mode limitation. I swapped it back to the -200 as Primary right before I downloaded the Diag file.

Dynon, any word on this subject yet? My system has identical problem. Just would like to know if you are working on a bug upgrade to this issue for next update??

Dynon did email me back and said they are able to duplicate this problem and they were working on a fix. It is a bug in ver 15.
