SVCom issue

My SVCom has worked great for first 35 hours. I have really loved its interface to the SV system. Lately however, I've had a weird issue.

On startup about every other start, the comm won't power up. I have to cycle the c/b and or the avionics buss two or three times in order to get it to power up. It has never quit once it has powered up, but the problem seems to be getting more frequent.
I've checked the wiring and it's all good.

Any comments or suggestions?

When you say it doesn't power up, is it the control panel that doesn't come up, or is it the control panel reporting no RF module?

Either way, sounds like an issue that we'll need to repair here. We haven't heard of this on any other installs.

It's the control panel "head". It just stays blank with no sign of life. Once powered up it works fine. I'm wondering if perhaps it's a low voltage thing right after startup as I've been flipping the AV master on right after start. I'm going to try waiting a minute it two for the alt to deep charge the batt before flipping the AV master on.

Even if you're "browning out" the COM radio during crank, it should still come back. Still, it would be interesting to know if the order of events powering things up helps at all. Additionally, if you're turning your alternator on before your avionics switch (making an assumption here) you should be already getting a good bus voltage even as the battery charges back up. Assuming your SkyView display is on during engine start, and you have an EMS voltmeter configured on the EMS page, you might keep an eye on that during the start sequence and subsequent alternator and avionics switchings so that you can see if there is possibly a voltage-related component here.

I've been starting ALT on and AV master off. Each time it happened was when I turned the AV on right after start. The other items on the AV buss (G430, xponder, PS audio) all powered up but the SV com stayed dark.

I've now tried (twice) waiting 60 seconds after start to flip AV master and haven't had any issues. I'll keep testing and report.
