Swapping a EMS on a Skyview HDX

I have a faulty EMS I tried changing out. When i installed the new one it didnt recognize it . I got a X display.Does the new unit have to be configured somehow?

My guess is it's probably still looking for the old one. Delete it from your serial network setup, reboot, and let the system detect the new box.

Actually, you need to run the network configuration process to let the system find the new module.
There isn't a way to actually delete the old one. It's a network device, not a serial device.
Once it's found on the network, you may also have to force network load the network as the new module
may have a different version of software. Force load accomplishes that.
