Synchronising hang up

Hi

On start up probably 50% of the time the displays get hung up synchronising. Rebooting usually fixes the problem. TL2000 S4 Sting with Rotax 912iS and Dual Skyviews.

Any suggestions. The factory suggested starting without instruments running which I guess could suggest voltage spikes, but seems along time to start then wait for the skyviews to boot to see if there is oil pressure?

Thanks :)

Boot one display off the battery and start up the airplane, one display will (should) continue to report while synch occurs.
Not quite sure I understand the synch issue however. I only saw this issue when I was updating a database, not everytime I start up the displays. If this is a database issue not working, than load the database on each display- turn one on upgrade. Turn off than turn the second display on and load database.

We've heard of this problem a few times, and we'd like Tech Support to work with you directly to resolve it. Please email support@dynonavionics.com and reference this post. It would be very helpful if you could record some screenshots of the issue by inserting a USB flash drive and pushing buttons 2+7 to record the screenshots onto the USB flash drive. Please send the screen shots with the email.

Update: email address above now corrected.
