Terrain and SynVis

I have a 7" screen and all software updates. I can not get the Terrain and SynVis to work at all (since purchased in April 2010).

My GPS Av8or ACE is linked to the Skyview and still does not link and provide a GPS source for the Skyview. Any suggestions?

Also the low res terrain (Australia) is installed and does not display.

Any suggestions?
Screen flickers and freezers on occasion when starting up.

If you don't have GPS position, none of the terrain/synthetic vision/mapping will work. It's possible that either there's a configuration issue with the Av8or ACE, or it's just not outputting valid NMEA data. Give us a call if you want some help configuring your serial port.

For the screen issue - update to the just-released 2.6 and see if that helps.

Can I purchase the GPS Receiver and Antenna without the back up battery.
I only need the Skyview and antenna to work when I have the power on in the plane.
