terrain colors

At what point should I be seeing terrain colors as being an issue on the Synvis?
I see yellow on the MAP but there is nothing on the terrain on the Synvis. I have TERR ALERT enabled.

You won't see it immediately around an airport, but should if your current flight path will put you into terrain/the ground within the next 30 or so seconds. It isn't a strict altitude comparison though like the map is. Instead it's based on where your flight path will take you.

It is expected to have to enable "terr alerts" after every start? I noticed that i enabled it one flight and that it grays out and needs to be re-enabled each flight.

Is there any way to go into DFG and set the TERR_ALERT to remain on?. I have made going through the process of enabling the terr alerts each flight now, but it would be great if it could just be left on as i always want it enabled.

It should get saved across boots but isn't (small bug) That'll be fixed in the next software update.
