My 10" display is affected by the latest Skyview service bulletin, I removed it from the panel then shipped out to Dynon for repair.

If I decide to fly the airplane with only one 7" display in the system, Which function will be lost without the 10" display?

I have Dual AHARS and 261 Transponder tied to the system.

Is there an easy way to bypass the fault and get the full function back without the 10" display in the system?

Any one has a quick answer for it?

Hi Jay Yau,
- Unplug the DB9 harness going from the 7" to the missing 10" and replace it either by the EMS or ADAHRS.
- Do an other device detection (settings).

Your missing Skyview should disappear from the list and the 7" won't pop up a message anymore. You should have a fully working single skyview system.

I could be wrong but it is the way I would do it.

It actually created more problem than that,

I lost Transponder altitude and PFD display when 10" skyview is out of the panel.

The 7" on the co-pilot side doesn't see both ADAHRS, and control tower asked me to reset my transponder because no altitude was reported, my Transponder displayed ALT --> NO, ALT--> NO and continue cycling.

Of course you know what I did, I turned around and landed. That was a good test flight though.

well, I was hoping to get the first hand information from Dynon, but looks like they were too busy to answer my Q, so I decided to answer myself....

I have total of 6 devices linked by the network cable, they are 10" display, 7" display, ARINC, EMS, ADAHRS-200 and ADAHRS-201.

When the 10" display is out, both ADAHRS are disconnected from the system, which caused PFD to be lost. In order to run the system with a single 7" display, I built a patch cable with two DB-9 male connector on each end, then bridge the two DB-9 female connector that I removed from the 10" display, that fixed all my problem, and I was able to fly the plane with all the function restored.

Simple as it.

So first, we try to check in on the forum once a day or so, but we don't monitor it constantly. Because the forum has a bunch of marketing/support/publicity/engineering overlap, it's actually handled outside of our normal technical support process by a few of us that aren't the regular technical support staff. So do know that if you're after the quickest answer to a question you can possibly get, the forum isn't always going to be the best place. A phone call to 425-402-0433 or an email to support at dynonavionics.com will often get you a quicker response.
