Question....Have a GPS hooked into the EMS system but the time read outs (Zulu ) don't match. How do I get EMS readout to correspond to the GPS

You can change the local offset from Zulu time in the SETUP>CLOCK menu.

I have no problem with the offset , my problem is that the zulu time read out on the EMS does not match the zulu read out of the GPS which happens to be the correct one. And not being able to get the correct zulu time on the EMS means that my local time is off as well, since its set as an offset of zulu.

The difference between the readouts , the EMS is minus 0:25:18

The GPS unit is an Avmap EKP-IV

Are you saying that despite the GPS has a time readout its not necessarily outputting that info to the EMS ?

Just had a look at the AvMap manual and see that it has NMEA output but that it must be enabled since the default setting is off.....

So no need to reply to the above post until I have checked the settings, that won't be until the weekend, then I will let you know if there's joy....
