To hub or not to hub?

Hi all,

I currently have both network ports in use for my ADAHRS and EMS. I am adding A/P servos and I was planning on putting a hub near the pitch servo to share the network cable that connects the ADAHRS and minimize the new wiring I need to add for the servo.

It occurs to me though that I will not likely ever add anything else in that part of the airplane and a hub is overkill. So maybe I will just split the network cable.

I will probably still use a hub up front for the roll servo since I could add more networked devices up there.

Anyone have problems or other advice on this approach?

I bought the servo splitters, then the hub when it came out, then wound up splicing the network cable for my servos. Decided it was smaller/neater than the hub. I used a servo splitter to connect the EMS, EFIS, and COM radio (well, when it comes out!!). This did away with the need for a hub in my system. The COM radio has two network connectors in it, so the second connector will be open & usable for any upcoming network goodies.
