Dynon pin 4(Serial Port 1 TX) to GTX pin 19 (RS-232 In)
Dynon pin 6 (Serial Port 2 TX) to GTX pin 2 (RS-232 In)

Skyview serial ports 1 and 2 confiigured for ICARUS as per Example SV Serial Port Config on page 4-15 and 4-20 of SV Installation Maual.

GTX327 input selected to ICARUS
GTX327 output (altitude out) selected to Remote as per Dynon Manual 4-15.

Not quite right. Here's what you conceptually want:

Dynon sending altitude to the transponder, as the encoder: Dynon serial port OUT X (set to icarus) connected to GTX serial IN (set to icarus input).

Transponder sending its status back to Dynon, so that it can be displayed: Dynon serial port in X (set to Garmin GTX 327) connected to transponder serial out (set to REMOTE + TIS).

Note that you're basically using half of a serial port for each function above. They can be the same serial port number, or not. Up to you.

Step 3 on page 4-15 has an implied "select the appropriate serial in device for your transponder" that we'll maek clearer in the next rev of the manual.

O.K. Getting Altitude Data on the GarminGTX 327 so SV is talking to the GTX 327 but Garmin it not talking to SV. Pin 20 (RS-232 Out 1) is connected to Dynon Pin 3 (Serial Port 1 RX). Garmin Output is selected to REMOTE as per Dynons Setup Manual. Still not getting the squawk code on the Skyview screen. Only get the box with a red X in it.

Problem solved. Dwnloaded 4.1 I am now getting the code from the GTX327.  Yee-Ha

4.1 of what? Since you'd have ot send the 327 in for a firmware update I assume you mean 4.0.1 of the Skyview firmware?

I have the same issue with my 327 and am running 4.0 Skyview firmware.

Sorry, Yes, i meant 4.0.1

No problem!! What version were you running prior to the upgrade? Dynon says most people don't need 4.0.1 but if you went from 4.0 to 4.0.1 and that fixed your problem, I might try it.

Dynon support,

Any reason I SHOULDN'T upgrade?

Most customers don't need to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.0.1, per http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/RevLog_SkyView.html. That definitely won't fix your problem, Craig. You most likely have a wiring or configuration issue.
