hello,

recently i upgraded my panel with second screen and it is touch version.

so last time i was flying i got caution message and when i open it it was saying TOUCH PANEL FAULT. i tried to move the map with touch gestures but it didn't work the knob movement worked flawlessly so i restarted the screen and again it didn't work. after around 15 minutes in flight the message went away and touch screen started working.

this also happened before but i haven had everything properly setup so i assumed it was something with settings.

i have a screenshot of message and i also downloaded the diagnostic file. is the issue a software problem or is it hardware?

That indicates a hardware problem, unfortunately. Give our support team a call at 425-402-0433 or at support at dynonavionics dot com for further help here.

Got one of those "Touch screen Fault" Caution messages while flying yesterday.  It disappeared after about 5 seconds.  SV kept operating normally.  Don't recall if I utilized any Touch features after the event.

Unit is a new build and has 35 hours in-service time.

Could download a diagnostic file if desired.

Bob:

Argh!

1. In the hangar, please do a Touch system test:
SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > TOUCH SETUP > TOUCH TEST...

2. Follow up with Technical Support with the results - feel free to mention your favorite Tech Support rep in the subject line.

As mentioned elsewhere, this happened to me yesterday...like Bob, it went away after about 5 seconds.  I can both do the touch test and send a diagnostic file if that will help.

Here's what it did:

and that was it...never reappeared, but still..I SURE HOPE this doesn't mean a hardware problem requiring IRAN by the factory :(

And again this weekend, over about 6 hours of flight, happened 2-3 times.

Dynon, what do you want from me re: this? If it's a problem that needs to be addressed, then I'd like to get it addressed sooner rather than later.

This is 3 posts now where I've said I got this fault, and no response...what gives?
