is there an option to "dumb down" the skyview to display a simulation of traditional 2 1/4 and 3 1/8" aviation gauges for VFR and IFR flight training purposes, the homebuilt I will be assembling will most likely be used for a flight school, and the majority of new pilots will then have to transition from skyview awesomeness back to the outdated instruments in the planes most people end up settling for for their own personal use that are an average of 40 years old.

Has there been any reconsideration of this?
At work flying the Boeing with two sets of eyes in the cockpit I appreciate the detailed information provided by a PFD/MFD combination, but I am building a Progressive Aerodyne Searey and will be spending a lot of my time at low altitude. In addition to a glass PFD many of us SeaGulls are fitting an analog airspeed indicator for a quick "TLAR reference" for our flying.
In the Feb 2011 Kitplanes on page 36 I see that the MGL Extreme has a "VFR Screen" that displays airspeed and altitude in easy to quickly comprehend round dial format, plus other information. While I like the flexibility of the Skyview and the quality of the Dynon product, I believe this option would be a good option.

Please post your request in the Suggestions conference. I am asking for the same thing for the same reasons and more input will help get this added. Since all of the information is already present, I am hopeful very little programming work would have to be done by Dynon to make this happen. For what it's worth, the Advanced Flight systems have the page as well. That is two out of three competitors. Pass it along to others who would like to see this change as well.
