Transfer settings across aircraft?

I am helping a friend install a dual Dynon Skyview system to replace a full steam gauge panel. Is there a way to use the backup I have of my aircraft on his such that all the widget positions and limits are imported? This would save a lot of work. I will then only have to modify the differences such as fuel level calibration etc. I was under the impression I could not use the Restore function on a different aircraft.

You can absolutely do an export of your settings and import them. Most things will move, except aircraft specific things like Hobbs/Tach time and servo cals.

Don't forget to double check all the stuff like tail number when you are done.
