Hi friends, I just installed my Skyview, with the transponder 262 from Dynon, the problem is that it show a message of "transponder fail", I started to read everything I could to solve this and still have the problem, the wires are well connected (checked twice), the port is the correct one (port 3, with green wires), in the serial config of port 3 says this:
TX counter (counting ok)
RX counter 0
Sentence errors 0
good sentences 0
group errors 19 (and counting)

I just don't know what else to do... I appreciate any help!... thanks a lot.

Best Regards from Argentina...

The transponder may need to be updated to the latest firmware. There is an "Update" button in the setup menu for it and it will be highlighted in yellow if not the current revision.

If you're not getting any rx counter increments, we're not hearing back from the transponder. IE, it's not powered on, or the rx line isn't continuous. So those are the things I'd scrutinize first - triple check the wiring.

I had an identical problem (I think) when I installed my transponder. It turns out that I assembled the D-sub connector black plastic hood incorrectly. The threaded thumb screws were not in the correct location in the hood housing, so the screw threads were not protruding enough. The plug looked OK and seemed to work, although the thumb screws were stiff and a little difficult to turn. Skyview recognized the transponder but I got a transponder fail message when I turned the system on. Disassembling the plug and resetting the thumbscrews in the proper recesses within the hood solved the problem. Hope this helps.
