Hello Pilots,

during the last flights i have realized, that the altitude from other airplanes are displayed wrong. Means the Airliners are shown only 5000 feet higher and some planes are lower than the surface ;-)
I have 2 Skyviews, two ADHARS, a dynon transponder and a TRX Flarm.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Can I piggyback on your question? Is the altitude given in relationship to the ground or in relationship to your own airplane? Also trying to learn about ADS-B. TIA.

So if you're going by the iconography on the map page, the number you're seeing is in hundreds of feet higher or lower than you are. So -02 is "-200 feet under you" and +50 is "5k above you".

When seen on synthetic vision, the number in the ball is distance out, and altitude information is shown spatially (IE above the horizion == above you, the higher on the screen the higher it is).

In both cases the arrow is telling you whether the aircraft is climbing or descending.

Ok, sry for the missing infos.

Of course, the altitude showing on the map are relative to me. That means, the airliner, witch is more than 15000 feet higher than me, shown only +50 on the map. and if i flying i, for example 1in 3500 feet, other planes are displayed -65 witch was under the surface ;-).
Climbing and descend are shown right! So, for me it looks like my altitude for these comparison was wrong.

thx
