Transponder antenna coax

I acquired a length of RG142 MIL-C-17 wire, looking up the specs it seems that it would work for my SV261 xpnder installation. The wire was free and would like to use it. Total lenght would be approx 9 ft. I would appreciate your response.

RG-142 has a loss of about .15 dB/ft at transponder frequencies, so a 9 foot run is about 1.4 dB. The max loss we allow is 1.5dB. So it is close, but if your run is actually 9 feet it is within the spec.
