Transponder fail during firmware update

When I was doing my transponder update I decide to exit the plane to do something else. At this time I stupidly push with my elbow the on/off button. The update stop at 28% after waiting for a while (nothing happens) I decide to stop everything and to install again everything again. No more transponder of course. I imagine there is no easy solution and I have to send back the transponder to Dynon of finesse Max???
Thank you

Yes,  if this happens unfortunately there is no way to reset the transponder while in the airplane. You need to send it back to be reset.

If you are in France, please contact FinesseMax. We will contact them and see if we can set them up to perform the reset.

Think might be a good area to add a warning message to ask if you really want to shut down during an update.

The transponder is powered direct by the aircraft bus. SkyView can't prevent it from being turned off. SkyView itself will not turn off during an upgrade if it has a backup battery.

I completely agree that this my fault. I should have stay in the plane and do not try to exit the plane.

I will contact finesse Max. They are really good people.
