Ive connected the GPS serial connection to pin #3 on the transponder. I have a Garmin 430W and the RS232 channel 2 is set to ADSB out. The transonder page of the Skyview set up still says not compliant. Can anyone point me to the set up configurations I should use on Skyview's set up pages? Thanks

On the compliance page, what is the reason given?

One guess based on the information in your post: your 430W needs to be set to ADS-B+ format, not just ADS-B format. If it's not available, your 430W might need a software upgrade.

The 430W needs software version 5.0 or newer for ADS-B out.

Carl

ADS-B+ (not sure which version this requires), not just ADS-B (as noted above).

My 430W has version 3.3, I'll look into the upgrade. The message was no ADSB-B+, does anyone know how and how much the upgrade is?

Sarasota Avionics did my GTN-650 for free. They loaned me the SD card with the update took 5 minutes. ;D

Nice. My local shop charged me $95.

THIS is what pisses me off about Garmin...well, another thing...that they feed us this cock-and-bull story about how upgrades HAVE to be done by a licensed shop, blah blah blah, when in reality it's as simple as inserting a card and punching a few buttons.

And all the more reason to appreciate companies like Dynon, in the experimental world, that actually allow their customers to use their brains and follow instructions (and save money).
