When starting up the SV1000, on the Map there is a message, that there are just a few hours remaining on the Trial-Period of the Map.
When going to the Map-manue, I could hit accept and the message disappears.
What happens, when the trail period is over???
What kind of trial is it?
I fly within Europe and loaded high resolution terrain-data - I thought that is for free and without any limit.
For mapping I`am glad to have the aviation data from pocket FMS - its an amazing feature.
Is the Terrain-data as well the aviation data still available when the trial is over?
What can I do to eliminate the trial-hour message on start-up for ever?

Hi Chris,

You have been enjoying a 30 hour trial period for the use of the world wide mapping. At the end of the trial period, you will need to purchase the Upgrade: SV270 Mapping license so that you can continue to use the Mapping. Note: you will not be able to continue to use Pocket FMS on your Skyview until you purchase the license after the end of your trial period.

In the UK, (or I believe in Europe) you need to contact Harry Mendelssohnn at: http://www.gps.co.uk, Attn: Danny in Tech Support and he will do the necessary.

regards

Trev ;) ;)

What Trev said is correct.

The high resolution terrain is indeed free. The SV-MAP-270 is a one-time license that authorizes the GPS Navigation features of the SkyView, and allows Aviation Data (such as from Pocket-FMS) to appear.

Hello Support
I reinstalled my Skyview today after a trip back from the Factory and after boot up, I got a message saying that I had 30 hours remaining for the Map trial..This is all fine and dandy but I purchased the Map software last year and it doesn't appears to be in there anymore..

The problem I have is that I don't remember the software license number so I can't put in back in the Skyview..

I still had the letter with the licence number on it but I just can't find it anymore.. :-[ :-[

Is there a place I can e-mail or call to get my Map software licence again??

Thanks

Bruno
