Ok I’m stumped.

New install on a Glasair 3, trim via a Linear Actuator rated at 3 amps (so no trim amp)

Nothing out of control panel.

I disconnect the motor and put a meter on it while commanding the motor via the panel, no voltage observed at the motor.

Pull the pins from the connector and touch motor power and ground to the motor and it works normally. It’s powered through a vertical power breaker and when I look the motor is pulling 1.5 amps. No problem there.

Put it all back, nothing.

Pin 2 - GND
Pin 9 - MTR Pwr

Pin 7 - MTR 1 A
Pin 8 - MTR 1 B

Is this bad out of the box? Any ideas?

Not clear on what the above says -
which connector did you pull pins from ?
You powered the motor independently at that point ?
Did you ground out pin 3 or 4 to ‘test’ it or did you just use the panel buttons ?
Make sure the ‘current fault’ is off on the VPX circuit you used for the trim eg J8/10 or 12.
How ‘old’ is the a/panel ? ie, was is bought a few years ago ?
